1st Edition First Flight Golf Tournament 2017

The Aerospace Industries Association of the Philippines (AIAP) had its successful inaugural of First Flight Golf Tournament last 17 November 2017 at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, which was attended by over 200 aerospace industry enthusiasts. The proceeds of the tournament went mainly to support the first edition of Aeromart Summit Clark last 46 June 2018, the first and only aerospace event in the country; partial of the proceeds were also able to support the ERDA Tech Senior Technical Vocational High School for its establishment of new campus in Tanauan City, Batangas expected to begin its operations this coming June 2019; and the remaining proceeds were used for the association’s operating expenses. This event was featured on one whole page of Manila Times’ newspaper.

The two (2) major sponsors last year were 3M and Mesco, followed by the six (6) titanium sponsors: Guhring Philippines, Kuehne + Nagel, Kajima Overseas Asia, Rockwell Collins, Globe Telecom, and FedEx. Twenty-nine (29) hole sponsors were First Philec, MD Aerospace, Parque Espana Hotel, PATTS, PLDT, Fujitsu, Kapco, Mottai-Nai, RCBC, Aboitiz, Sandvik, Nicklaus Machinery, East West, Calco, Global Gateway Development, Jamco, Bon Industrial, First Gen Energy Solutions, Famous Secret, DMG Mori, Corehog, Applied Machining Corporation, Infinity Tools, Rostech, VJF Precision, NBS Engineering, First Philippine Industrial Park, Trends and Technologies, and BDO. Hole in one sponsors were Ogawa, Yusen, Acatech, and Vespa.

This year, AIAP will be hosting the second edition of our “First Flight” Golf Tournament to be held at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, Carmona Cavite, to be followed by our fellowship concert party at Crimson Hotel Alabang, both on Friday, 26 October 2018. Building on last year’s success, we have already begun preparations for our highly anticipated “First Flight – 2018”. AIAP will be having a bigger event and is expecting an even greater interest with a participant capacity of up to 500, 160 of which as golfing participants. Expect people from different sectors such as aerospace, manufacturing, automotive, electronics industries and so on. We are also expecting attendees from international companies such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Nasmyth, and representatives from Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Lufthansa Technik Philippines, Philippine government sectors, DTI-BOI, and Embassy representatives from US, UK, Japan, Australia, which will all support the event.

The proceeds for this year’s tournament will go to the following: 1) The association’s first initiated event, the Philippine Suppliers and Manufacturers Exhibition on 27-30 March 2019, 2) The educational program which will spearheaded by AIAP, and 3) The ERDA Tech campus.

This will be a whole day WORK AND PLAY event, dubbed as “FFGT 2018”, which will also serve as AIAP’s annual year-end party. The morning golf tournament at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club will be per team beginning at 8:00 AM and will end at 2:00 PM. Golf ticket includes caddy, golf cart, lunch, cocktail and dinner, concert ticket, giveaways, and raffle prizes. AIAP will not be selling golf tickets, it will be thru sponsorship, please see attached sponsorship package for your perusal.
